Who's better Alex Ovechkin or Sidney Crosby

The Matchup: Crosby vs. Ovechkin
Alexander Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby, two first-round, first overall NHL draft picks, officially stepped foot on the ice for their respective pro teams for the first time in October, 2005. The expectations were incredibly high and both Crosby and Ovechkin came out of the shoot at a torrid pace. The two players broke the 100-point milestone during their first season, and both “Sid the Kid” and “Ovie” became household names throughout the hockey world. The question now -- six years into their careers -- is whether Crosby possesses an intrinsic, intangible quality that elevates his teams to champions, or if Ovechkin's pure skill will ultimately come to surpass Crosby's early success.

Original Six games? That's a thing of the past. This is the Nu-NHL. For better or worse, I don't think O6 games are sotnhmieg worth marketing. For that matter, most of the divisional opponents of the Wings are "ho-hum" games as well. But in other divisions, it is pretty heated and closely contested.I don't want to count our chickens before they hatch, but I don't see a serious threat from anyone in our division to take the thrown away.In an ideal situation in my eyes, I'd like to see more matchups (at least one game each) against Eastern Conference opponents.

Sid the Kid has a while to go before he's the gtreeast player in the world. But all I gotta say is, it's about damn time. I haven't been able to watch hockey on TV for forever been surviving on Yahoo! and Versus online broadcasts and whatever live streams I can scrounge up. Three cheers for the Jan. 1 game! No wonder Fleury was pissed when he got injured.
