Comparison Review: Graco Mickey Element Playard vs. Graco TotBloc Playard
Winner: Graco Mickey Element
Trying to find the best Pack ‘n Play Playard for you child? We take two formidable options from Graco and pit them up against one another, Head-to-Head, to help you understand which is better in key areas. The key difference between these Playards is the additional features on the Element Pack ‘n Play (including a mobile with Disney characters and a bassinet) that are not available on the Graco TotBloc Playard model. For an additional investment of just $30, the versatility of the Element styling supplies a better value than the comparatively basic TotBloc alternative.

Winner: Fisher-Price
This bassinet comparison review outlines the pros and cons of two leading products from Fisher-Price and Badger Basket to help you determine which is the best bassinet for your child. We found the Fisher-Price bassinet to be more modern and high tech (with motion and sound features that are unavailable on the Badger Basket model). The Badger Basket, on the other hand, exhibits an elegant aesthetic that is likely to attract consumers looking for a somewhat formal design. In all, the Fisher-Price bassinet is a more dynamic product and a better overall value.

Baby Toy Review (Kids Cameras Compared)
Comparison Review: Head-2-Head Kids Cameras Reviewed
Winner: Vtech Kidizoom
If you’re looking to get your child their first digital camera, you might want to consider a kid-specific camera. There are a number of options out there now, though most of them fall short when it comes to image quality. Of the group we compared, the Vtech Kidizoom beat out competing models -- the Npower “Diego” camera and Fisher-Price Kid-Tough cameras -- in overall image quality, but was unimpressive in resolution tests. The Vtech Kidizoom similarly surpassed its competition in total functionality; beyond pure picture snapping, the Kidizoom kids camera includes fun stamps to add to images, video capture, and three simple video games. The Vtech is also very efficient in terms of battery consumption and is durable enough to survive a few drops. If you’re interested in pure resolution, however, the Digital Blue Snap camera by far outperformed the other cameras in the group.

Product Comparison Review (Grills & Outdoor Living)
Grill Comparison: Weber Genesis E-330 Gas Grill vs. Napoleon Prestige I Series Gas Grill
Winner: Napoleon
This high-end gas grill matchup features two formidable sub-$1,000 contenders from reputable brands, Napoleon and Weber. These grills spec out similarly, with three burners of relative power; however, the Napoleon Prestige I Series’ larger grilling surface (649 sq. inches to 507 sq. inches), slightly more affordable price tag, and unparalleled lifetime warranty simply outduels the Weber E-330. While the Weber Genesis tests out well in its own right, the Prestige I Series supplies more for the money.

Product Comparison Review (Music & Guitar Pedals)
Guitar Pedals: Boss DD-20 Giga Delay Guitar Pedal vs. Line 6 DL4 Stompbox Delay Modeler
Winner: Line 6
DL4
Boss and Line 6 guitar effects pedals are used by a number of professional musicians. Each manufacturer crafts pedals that can manipulate the sound of a guitar when connected to an amplifier. The sound variation is vital to many high profile bands, who rely on the ‘echo’ effect that these pedals are famous for. In this battle, the Boss DD-20 comes across as adequate, though it lacks the variety of sounds produced by the Line 6 DL4. The Line 6’s extensive range of delay functions are more distinct and ultimately help the Line DL4 pedal edge out the victory.
Headphones Review (Head-to-Head Headphones Comparison)
Noise Cancelling Headphones Review: Bose QC15 vs. Monster Beats By Dre Studio
Winner: Bose QC15
Monster’s wildly popular Beats By Dre Studio headphones, and the long-established Bose QC15 headphones (similarly priced close to $300) are aimed at music enthusiasts, smart phone owners, and recurrent travelers. The core distinctions, uncovered in this noise cancelling headphones review, are the Bose's more effective noise removal, and the smart phone integration on the Monster Beats By Dre studio headphones. Those, however, aren't the only advantages that define each contender in this headphones review.

Headphones Review (Head-to-Head Ratings)
Noise-Cancelling Headphones Review: Bose QuietComfort 15 vs. Sennheiser PXC 310BT
Winner: Bose (due to its noise-reduction)
Shoppers willing to spend about $300 on a pair of a high caliber on-ear or over-ear noise-canceling headphones, should consider the Bose QC15 and Sennheiser 310BT alternatives. Both brands are synonymous with high performance, excellent sound quality, and innovative noise reduction. The Bose QC15 and Sennheiser 310BT similarly omit phone controls, instead emphasizing sound quality and comfort. The differences between the two headphones, however, are clearly defined; the core advantages of the Bose QuietComfort 15 are its more effective noise reduction technology, superior acoustics, and longer packed cable. The Sennheiser PXC 310BT counters with a more portable, lightweight design, Bluetooth (wireless technology), and the ability to function without its noise reduction mode and battery engaged.

Headphones Review (Head-to-Head Headphones Comparison)
Noise-Cancelling Headphones Review: Beats By Dre Studio vs. Sennheiser PXC 310BT
Winner: Beats By Dre 'Studio'
Audiophiles looking for high-performance noise-canceling headphones in the $300 to $400 dollar range should examine the Beats By Dre 'Studio' headphones and the Sennheiser 310BT noise-cancelling headphones. Sennheiser is a brand long-associated with superior acoustics, but in this head-to-head review, Monster’s Beats By Dre bests its competitor in key performance areas - audio quality, noise-canceling, and its inclusion of dedicated phone controls. Sennheiser’s 310 BT headphones fall short of Beats By Dre in terms of audio quality, though the design is slightly more convenient; they will work when its noise-canceling mode is not in use, comes with wireless, Bluetooth technology, and is lighter weight.

Product Comparison Review (Home Gym)
Home Gym Comparison: Bowflex Home Gym PR1000 vs. Marcy Diamond Home Gym 200 lbs. Stack
Winner: Bowflex
Are you in the market for a sub-$1,000 home gym? Bowflex and Marcy Diamond are two brands that produce affordable systems for a complete, full body workout within the confines of your house. The Bowflex PR1000 Home Gym far outperforms the Marcy Diamond 200 lb. Stack Home Gym in the Head-to-Head matchup; it includes a rowing machine, more weight (equivalent of 10 extra lbs. of resistance), sleeker and more compact design, and is better built. The Marcy Diamond 200lb Stack offers a host of attractive features in its own right (butterfly station, 200lbs, and 2-year warranty), but the Bowflex is just a better overall system, and a better buy.

Product Comparison Review (eReader and Gadgets)
eReader Comparison: Barnes and Noble Nook Color vs. Amazon Kindle DX
Winner: Barnes and Noble Nook Color
Since its initial launch in 2007, the Amazon Kindle has set the standard for eReaders. However, with the global adoption of the iPad, consumers now expect more functionality from tablet-like products. The Barnes & Noble Nook Color is Android-powered, and sports a color LCD screen. Head-to-Head, the Nook color surpasses the Amazon Kindle DX in screen performance, functionality, speed, and price point, and lists for half the price of an iPad. The Nook Color is closer to being a Tablet than an eReader, while the Kindle DX is relegated to a basic, backlit reader.

The first season of the X-Factor looks promising. The newer FOX show’s format, judges, and deeper investment in each contestant looks to be enough to beat out American Idol, but let’s not forget that the show is still in its infancy stages. It has a lot of time left to grow or disappear. In the meantime, we’ll give the initial nod of the 2011-2012 season (albeit a reserved one), to The X-Factor.
